Katrina Darcy-Smith graduated from Belfast School of Art, University of Ulster in Fine Craft Design in 1990. 

Following this she progressed her work further as part of a collective of artists in Crescent Studios, Kilkenny Design, Ireland

A textile artist and painter her work explores the cycle of human emotion in response to lifecycles found in the natural world; weather, flora or fauna through the application of vibrant colour in mixed media.
