Katherine St. Angelo is a mixed media artist and painter whose work predominantly reflects emotions and experiences that ultimately encapsulates her own identity. Originally from the United States, Katherine now lives and works in Belfast, Northern Ireland. 

 

Katherine’s work explores the relationship we have to the environment and how it is uniquely tied to our own stories. These visual chapters are created through emotive mark making, manifestations of various emotional states relating to both physical and mental healing as well as the complexities of human interactions. In an upcoming show (2024) ‘Restoration’ at Island Arts Centre Northern Ireland, Katherine’s ethereal compositions explore the acts, interactions and journeys that are integral to human experience with the use of colour and texture, varied and subtle as the conversation with the canvas develops.
