Bernie Mc Adam joined Creative Exchange in 2019, having just graduated with a BA Hons degree in Fine Art from Belfast School of Art, Ulster University. Her work reflects a scrutiny of the gaze in a contemporary setting where we are subjected to the ineluctable sinister and invasive gaze afforded by technological developments. Her recent exhibition entitled The Kingdom of Haven,  in Flax Gallery at the Mill in Newtownabbey explores this theme.  She has exhibited her work in Belfast, Dundalk, Dublin, Scotland and Zagreb where she spent a year at the Academy of Fine Art in the Erasmus programme. Her most recent exhibition, Haven 2, was shown in The Green Room in the Black Box venue in Belfast in May, 2022 . She is  researching for a collaborative project for exhibition  in Pollen studios  early next year.

Bernie’s practice encompasses oil painting, printmaking and drawing.
